A week at the heart of HAMMAR to deepen our technical expertise, strengthen our collaboration and explore together the future development of the brand across the Indian Ocean.
From 7 – 12 September 2026, the MATHIS team travelled to Sweden for a full week of meetings, technical exchanges and training at HAMMAR, the world’s leading sideloader manufacturer.
The visit marked another important step in a relationship built over nearly ten years around the same principles: technical expertise, customer proximity and quality of service.
At the Heart of HAMMAR
Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to meet and exchange directly with HAMMAR’s After-Sales, Technical, Commercial, Marketing and Management teams.
Mathis also further developed his knowledge of the latest machine developments, electronic and CAN-Bus systems, new technologies, diagnostics and maintenance procedures.
The objective is simple: to continuously strengthen our expertise so that HAMMAR customers across the Indian Ocean can benefit from increasingly responsive and efficient local support.
Strengthening After-Sales Service & Spare Parts Support
A significant part of our discussions focused on strengthening HAMMAR After-Sales Service and spare parts availability across the region.
MATHIS already maintains a HAMMAR spare parts stock in Reunion Island and is now working towards an increasingly structured approach to fleet monitoring, preventive maintenance, parts availability and technical follow-up.
Reunion Island, Mauritius, Mayotte and Comoros are already part of our field experience.
Our ambition is to progressively strengthen this regional presence while remaining close to HAMMAR operators and their machines.
A Shared Vision for the Indian Ocean
Beyond technical matters, our visit also gave us the opportunity to discuss with HAMMAR’s management the future potential of the brand across the Indian Ocean.
Reunion Island, Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles and Comoros each represent different markets, customers and operational requirements.
MATHIS will now work on a broader strategy to explore how this development could be supported through a combination of:
local presence, technical expertise, spare parts availability, logistics, customer support and commercial development.
This next step is a natural continuation of our long-standing relationship with HAMMAR and our ambition to build a sustainable regional organisation.
Investing Today to Better Support Tomorrow
Our week in Sweden also confirmed the direction in which we want to take MATHIS: continuing to invest in skills, technology, digital tools and knowledge transfer.
Our objective remains unchanged:
Stay close to the machines, the customers and their needs — while building today the expertise and organisation required to support them even better tomorrow.
A sincere thank you to the entire HAMMAR team for the warm welcome, the time spent with us, the knowledge shared and the continued trust placed in MATHIS.
The journey continues and we look forward to building the next chapter together across the Indian Ocean.
